This year was a
very tumultuous to say the least for the team from the Bay otherwise known as
the San Francisco 49ers. Then finished the season with at least 50 players having
spent some time on the injured list this season. (That must be an NFL Record or
something right?) Through all of that they had the steady hand of Kyle Shanahan
and Robert Saleh to keep the players focused and prepared to go out and compete
every week, despite the injuries. In the end Salah left to be ahead coach with
the Jets and took Pass Game Coordinator Mike Lafleur with him as his offensive coordinator.
So, this left some holes in the 49ers coaching staff that had to be filled, and
like any good coach you want to believe that the answers are already on your
staff. So, I introduce to you the newest Offensive and Defensive Coordinator
for the 49ers….
DeMarco
Ryans – Defensive Coordinator (Def. Quality Control Coach (2017), Inside
Linebackers Coach (2018-2020))
For those of you
who do not know Ryans was an amazing linebacker throughout his career, he had
an amazing career playing for the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans. He ended
his playing career in 2015 and went on to become the 49ers Defensive Quality
Control Coach and then Inside Linebackers Coach. He developed the two young
studs that man the field for the 49ers in Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw. Now he
takers over one of the best defenses in all Pro Football, the decisions that
are made in the draft will go a long way to help the success of this defense.
Picking up a Caleb Farley or Patrick Surtain with that number 12 pick in the
draft. Unless it must be used to secure a better option at QB than oft injured
Jimmy G.
Mike
McDaniel – Offensive Coordinator (Run Game Specialist (2017), Run Game
Coordinator (2018-20))
I do not really know that much about McDaniel
other than he has been with the 49ers since the beginning of the Shanahan run
and he is responsible for that run game that has been one of the best in the
league the last couple of years. Now this does not mean that Shanahan will no
longer be calling the plays on the sidelines come game day. But the combination of these two drawing up
game plans will be dangerous for the rest of the NFL weather they have Jimmy G
under center or Watson or even Stafford. There is a reason Shanahan chose him
to promote in the absence of Mike Lafleur so I will put my trust in Shanahans
hands and trust him that this guys gonna be successful….
