Double K's Take: NFL Season Preview (Pt 1: NFC West)

Part 1 NFC West 

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (Predicted Finish: 10-6 Division Winners): This team is coming off of a division title last year and looks to repeat again this year. They still have an elite top QB in Russell Wilson, they replaced Marshawn Lynch with Eddie Lacy. Who if he stays healthy will be an impact player on that offense. On the defensive side of the ball they have officially given all pf the legion of boom so this team should be back to dominating on the defensive side of the ball. If they do that I see a 10-6 record and a division title…

ARIZONA CARDINALS (Predicted Finish: 9-7 Possible Wild Card): The Cardinals didn’t get that much better this offseason. Good news is that they didn’t get any worse, they kept most of the key pieces that they needed to stay competitive in this tough division. Now if Carson Palmer stays healthy all season long then they may be able to match the 10-6 record predicted for the Seahawks if he doesn’t they will have to pray for 9-7 because u are not winning a super bowl with Blaine Gabbert at QB. So that’s why i give them 9-7 this season…

SAN FRANCISCO 49ers (Predicted Finish: 7-9 No Playoffs): The 49ers were a dumpster fire of a team last year, Chip Kelly was sacrificed at the alter of Ballke. They eventually got rid of almost everybody that had to do with the Ballke regime along with the once praised GM. Who they brought in (Lynch) shocked a lot of people but ended up being a good choice along with a solid choice in HC and DC. This will lead to almost instant improvement which is why 7-9 is their ceiling but they have 9-7 talent on the field….

LOS ANGELES RAMS (Predicted Finish: 6-10 No Playoffs): The Rams are a team that will look like a better team, but may not be that much better record wise. In my opinion both Arizona and SF did more to get better this offseason than the Rams did. Returning starting QB Jared Goff should be a year better but he will also be learning a new offense this season. That takes time and so I don’t expect the Rams to go quietly they will put up a fight I expect at least 3 of those 6 wins to come against the division…..
