Double K's Take: My thoughts on the Raiders offseason (Pt.2)

The Raiders offseason Part 2….

The Raiders biggest news was the move to Vegas this off season, but they had another HUGE announcement they were able to make happen. Beast Mode has finally come home to the Raiders and will be playing in the Silver and Black at least until they make the big move. Early before free agency started the Raiders had dreams of signing Marshawn. By week 2 Beast Mode himself was beginning to show signs that he wanted to come out pf retirement and play for his hometown team and as training camps open Marshawn Lynch will be the starting back for the Oakland Raiders in 2017. That was the biggest addition of almost any team this off season . What came next was the biggest signing in recent memory in the NFL and it was for the young QB that will helm their offense for the next few years and that’s the one and only Derek Carr as they signed him to a 4 yr extension worth 125 million dollars  one of the largest extensions in the history of the league and he deserves every bit of it….

The combination of a young Carr and Cooper and a returning Crabtree and Marshawn Lynch and the addition of Jared Cook to the lineup. This will add some pop to a offense that was already explosive last year before Carr went down with injury. All that and a defense that will be one year stronger should put the Raiders in position to be a Super Bowl contender this year. With that being said I will dig into how I see this season playing out for the Silver and Black. I see them having a successful season as they will win at least 10-12 games in the regular season this year. I sort of expect them to win the division over KC. Now as far as the playoffs go I see the Raiders making it as far as the AFC Championship Game before losing to the Patriots at the end of one hell of a season. I don’t see them winning a super bowl until 2019 when they have a little more experience and will be better prepared to overcome the Patriots. So that’s it for the Raiders now on to the LA Rams….
