Double K's Take: My thoughts on the 49ers offseason... (Pt.2)

NFL Draft 2017

The draft was where the 49ers really struck gold, They traded out of the 2nd pick in the draft that a lot of people thought was going to be used on QB Mitch Tribisky of UNC. And the pick was use on Tribisky just not by the 49ers….the Bears traded up from the 3 spot to take the Tar Heel QB allowing the 49ers to move down a spot get a extra pick and still take one of the top defensive prospects in the entire draft Stanford DL Soloman Thomas…..but they werent done on day one as the traded back into the 1st round at pick number 31 and took LB Ruben Foster from Alabama.  This was a steal because Foster was supposed to go in the Top 5 and only fell because of his shoulder injury questions. With the addition of TE Kittles, QB Bethard, RB Williams and more in the later rounds, this team will be talented when the coaching staff decides on the final 55…

Now the final result of this season will have to be played out on the field throughout the NFL season. Most experts have the 49ers topping out at 4-5 wins and I don’t think they are that far off…my prediction is that we will see a stout defense and a offense that will struggle at times but will make enough plays that tis team will hover around .500 for the bulk of the 2017-18 season. There will be no playoffs but a lot of hope for the future will be established….
