(R1)(2) QB Carson Wentz (NDST) (6’5” 237lbs, 6.5 CBGD) (Eagles): The Eagles gave of alot to get their QB of the future. This kid is 6’4 with a strong arm and good accuracy. I don't know if i would have given up all those future picks to get him this high. When you look at the top half of the draft Wentz would have been gone by pick #8 at the latest. In the end the Eagles got their man...
(R1)(4) RB Ezekiel Elliot (OSU) (6’0” 225lbs, 7.0 CBGD) (Cowboys): Elliot is easily the best running back in this draft. This and the Dallas Cowboys desire to get back to running the ball heavy. They accomplished this years ago with the back they let go Murray. They will hope that this kid will combine with McFadden and create a stunning running back combo to lead the NFL in rushing in 2016 and maybe bring home a Super Bowl title...
(R1)(10) CB Eli Apple (OSU) (6’1” 199lbs, 6.0 CBGD) (Giants): Apple was a key player on the buckeyes defense the past few years, he is a big bodied corner that can get physical. Another benefit to him playing for the Giants is that he will be going up against 2 of the best wide outs in football. So i think the Giants got their money’s worth and will get a franchise corner in the years to come...
(R1)(26) QB Paxton Lynch (MEM) (6’7” 244lbs, 6.1CBGD) (Broncos via SEA): Lynch was the biggest surprise of the bight to me. The fact that the Broncos traded up to get him and they probably could have stayed put and achieved the same goal just baffles me. In the end though they got Lynch at a bargain rate and they get to groom him as a backup to Sanchez since they can't seem workout anything with SF for their beleaguered QB Kaepernick...
