San Francisco 49ers -
(R1)(7) DE DeForest Buckner (ORE) Buckner adds instant depth to the defensive line, another plus is the fact that he knows Chip Kelly and he knows last years 1st round pick Arik Armstead. This should make the transition to the NFL a little easier for the young man who will look to have a impact in his rookie year for a desperate San Francisco defense...
(R1)(28) OG Joshua Garnett (STAN) The 49ers traded up to this spot late in the 1st round and i don't know if it will be worth it. Evidently Kelly and company think that the kid can contribute, and must think that he will to give up picks to get him. The funny thing about it is that Kelly’s 1st 2 picks were Pac 12 and none after that. Garnett should help out right away and provide rest for the older players and effective rest at that...
Oakland Raiders -
(R1)(14) FS Karl Joseph (WVU) Joseph is a great pick at 14 for the Raiders and he fills a need at backup safety with the loss of starting S Charles Woodson. I wouldn't look for him to make an impact immediately but i would expect them to bring him along slowly and eventually insert him into the starting lineup. When he does get there watch out because the Raiders will have one of the hardest hitting safety in pro football..
San Diego Chargers -
(R1)(3) DE Joey Bosa (OSU) Bosa was a pick that no one saw coming from the Chargers, we all know that they needed some help on the defensive line. Bosa will provide that exactly as one of the premier pass rushers in the draft. I don't expect him to have a JJ Watt impact right away but if you give him a year or 3 and his high impact motor will be matched by his ability and the rest of the NFL better watch out....
