Double K's MLB Season Wrap Up 2015: Top Storylines for 2016 MLB Season...

Arizona Diamondbacks (NL West)(Finished last season: 79-83(3)) “Can Greinke step in and make the D’Backs instant contenders for the NL West Crown??”: The D’Backs could be considered the winners of this last offseason. The reason why is because the got P Zack Greinke who is set to make an impact in the Arizona Maroon. In my personal opinion this does make them almost instant contenders for the NL West Crown...

Los Angeles Angels (AL West)(Finished last season: 85-77(3)) “Can the Angels recover from a 3rd place finish in the division after such high expectations?”: The Angels are a team that once again underachieved for how much talent that they have. It seemed as if this was going to be their year, they had all the pieces in place a strong starting staff lead by Weaver and Anderson and a strong bullpen. Somewhere along the way things fell apart for the Angels and they finished 3rd in the AL West...

Los Angeles Dodgers (NL West)(Finished last season: 92-70(1)) “Can Roberts contain Puig and return Kershaw to his Cy Young form in 2016??”: The Dodgers won the division title last season and went to the playoffs. They were quickly shuffled on home by the Mets in the 1st round of the playoffs. Costing manager Don Mattingly (now with the Marlins) his job. They replaced him with Dave Roberts who looks to infuse some life into a team that has had the pop during the regular season but can't find its groove in the playoffs...

Oakland Athletics (AL West)(Finished last season: 68-94(5)) “Can the addition of Davis (MIL), Madson (PHI) and HIll (ARZ) vault Oakland back into contention?”: The Athletics really finished right where they should have. After shuttling off 6 All Star players last offseason the Athletics was as team in a downward spiral. They made some additions to the SP rotation and added a big bat in Davis from Milwaukee. Overall will the Athletics be contenders at the end of the 2016 season?? I don't think so but who knows??? they have done it before...

San Diego Padres (NL West)(Finished last season: 74-88(4)) “With Ross set to open the season, can the Padres climb their way out of the cellar??”: The Padres are a team that is in shambles going into the 2016 season. They have a lot of good pieces in place as they do still have some great hitters and a solid ace in Tyson Ross, who will be the opening day starter. The big question is can they compete in a tough NL West??? I just don't think this is the year for that but keep an eye on them in the years to come...

Seattle Mariners (AL West)(Finished last season: 76-86(4)) “Is this the year that the Mariners finally break thru and make the playoffs?”: The Mariners have had a team worthy of contention for the past 3 years, the problem is that they have not come to fruition on any of it. They still have one of the top pitchers in the game in Felix Hernandez and a stout leader in 2B Robinson Cano let's just see if this is the year that they can even break the mold and make the playoffs...

San Francisco Giants (NL West)(Finished last season: 84-78(2)) “With the addition of Samardzija and Cuarto have the Giants guaranteed a title in 2016??”: Well this is a even number year so you have to think that the Giants have a solid chance at winning the WS title. That's if they can make the playoffs and there is no guarantee that the newest additions to the pitching staff can come thru enough for the Giants to make a run into another title a 4th one in 8 years. Will they do it??? I don't think so this is the year the streak is broken...
