Golden State Warriors (67-15/ 1st in WC) (NBA Champions over CLE 4-2): The Warriors seemed to be on a mission last season. They had a new coach and a ownership group that was willing to spend what they needed to spend in order to get a championship squad on the court. The league MVP Stephen Curry was in rare for and dominated almost every team that they faced. This year they look to repeat as champs and show everyone that this year wasn't a fraud...
Los Angeles Clippers (56-26/ 3rd in WC) (Lost in 2nd Round to HOU 4-3): The Clippers had a great regular season winning 56 games despite not having their All Star forward Blake Griffin. Chris Paul and company had to deal with the Spurs in the 1st round and took Houston and James Harden to 7 games before choking and losing 3 games in a row and the series 4-3. This year they come back ready to do damage after securing their young center DeAndre Jordan for the next 4 years...
Sacramento Kings (29-53/ 13th in WC) (No Playoffs in 2014-15): The Kings looked like a team that could go somewhere at the beginning of the season. By mid season they were a team looking for a leader, and after the All Star break they found their man in George Karl and that lead to a trade for Rajon Rondo who was unhappy in Dallas. When these pieces started coming together around the centerpiece of Cousins the Kings showed that they will be a team to look at this season...
Los Angeles Lakers (21-61/ 14th in WC) (No Playoffs in 2014-15): The Lakers were just a mess last season, they lost Kobe Bryant, they lost Julius Randle adn ended up cruising thru a pathetic season that resulted in them having the #2 pick in the NBA Draft. Can they finally put it all together with Kobe back, Randle back and the incoming PG Russell set to show the world that the premiere franchise in the NBA is back from its hiatus...
Portland Trail Blazers (51-31/ 4th in WC) (lost in 1st Round to MEM 4-1): The TrailBlazers are a team like the 49ers who lost a lot this offseason. They lost one of the top PF’s in the game today in LaMarcus Aldridge while locking up their All Star PG in Damian Lillard for many years to come. Now will this team get better this season? That's a question that will have to be answered by playing the games...
Phoenix Suns (39-43/ 10th in WC) (No Playoffs in 2014-15): The Suns were a team last year that was right on the cusp of being a solid playoff team. They finished 10th at the end of the season and fell just short of the 8th seed in the in the Western Conference. Now considering the fact that the top of the Western Conference has gotten better. I don't see the Suns making very far this season...
