Last year the Raiders were a team that looked like they were
poised to take a step forward and instead took one more step back. This team
came into last season with a great rookie QB and a team of veterans that seemed
ready to make them a dangerous team. The team had a great stretch run and even
beat the cross town team the 49ers. But alas finished the season 3-13, so there
is a lot of upward movement to be had by this team and this will be the year
they do it…
1.
Fri.
Aug 14th (vs. St. Louis Rams) (Result: 18-3 Raiders W): The
Raiders looked good in this season opening win. The Raiders did play their
starters for more snaps than usual but they looked good and got a dominating
win over a good Rams team…
2.
Sat. Aug.
22nd (@ Minnesota Vikings) (Result: 20-12 Raiders L): This game
was a fun one to watch as the Raiders scored first and it was all Viking from then
on. The 1st team offense and defense looked really good but the
Raiders still need to find their depth with the rest of the team. I believe
they will do better against the Cardinals…
3.
Sun. Aug.
30th (vs. Arizona Cardinals) (Projected Result: 21-17 Raiders W): The
Cardinals are a team that can surprise you if you don’t know what’s coming.
Only thing is I think that the Raiders will be able to get a early lead and
hold off the Cardinals late comeback attempt to get the win…
4.
Thur.
Sep. 3rd (@ Seattle Seahawks) (Projected Result: 28-24 Raiders L): This
will be the match where both teams will be playing their starters for the bulk
of the game. As of right now the Seahawks are just the better team so I see the
Raiders putting up a good fight but not getting the win…
