Double K's Take: 2015 NBA Draft - Golden State Warriors...

Golden State Warriors (67-15, 1st in Pacific Division, 1st in Western Conference, NBA Champs)

This year there wasn’t much need for the Warriors; they were just coming off of a NBA Championship and were expecting to resign their only major free agent in Draymond Green. So what were they to do with their only draft pick in this year’s draft?? They stayed in their own state to find a project player out of UCLA in Kevon Looney, who they feel can make a impact at the pro level…

R1 (30) SF Kevon Looney (UCLA, 6’9”, 220lbs): When I say project player I mean PROJECT player, and it isn’t in a bad way. This kid will have plenty of time to grow and to learn the SF/PF position in the NBA. Look at him as a Draymond Green type of player,  I think that he will come to be Draymond’s backup. As for a immediate impact don’t look for Looney to log too many minuets this season as the Warriors look to repeat as NBA champs…
