Double K’s Take: Western/Eastern Conference Finals Review

Over the last week and a half I learned 2 things, one that hype isn’t always truth and that the King still lives in the mind and body of LeBron James. The Conference finals are over and the Warriors and Cavaliers are your Conference Champions. Both did it in rather convincing fashion as the Warriors dispatched of Houston in 5 and the Cavaliers took care of Atlanta in 4 games. Setting up an epic showdown between 2 of the NBA’s top Players and top teams this season, before we get to that lets take a look back at the Conference Finals…

Warriors (67-15) beat the Rockets (56-26) 4-1 in Western Conference Finals: This series really put a stamp on a wonderful season for the Warriors. The Warriors were dominant in games 1-3 and looked like the better team. Game 4 the Rockets showed that they were worth at least one game in this series before the Dubs brought them back to Oakland and finished them off. This is the Warriors 1st trip to the NBA Finals since the 74-75 seasons when they won it all behind Rick Barry and company. Can they do it again?? That’s up to the players on the court but they are at least there, that’s a lot!!...

Cavaliers (53-29) sweep the Hawks (60-22) 4-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals: The Cavaliers on the other hand had and easy road to the NBA Finals as they took on the Atlanta Hawks. I don’t say easy because the Hawks are pushovers because they are not. I say easy because the Hawks lost 2 of their 4 top players in the 1st 2 games and the Cavaliers were just able to put their foot on their preverbal necks and hold them down. Now this gives the Cav’s a few days to figure out the Warriors and the NBA MVP Steph Curry…
