Double K’s Take: The greatness of Coach K and the Duke Blue Devils championship season…

3/2015 Duke Blue Devils beat Wisconsin and lock up their 5th title under Mike Krzyzewski…

The Blue Devils Dynasty – When I think back to my childhood all I can think of is the year (1991) when the Duke Blue Devils knocked off my favorite team (at the time) the UNLV Running Rebels. At this point in history the Rebels was the hottest team in College Basketball with a couple of future NBA All Stars on their roster. They were also undefeated and one game away from history and winning a national title, and the Blue Devils put an end to all of that in the final four. They also went on to win their 1st title in school history, there would be 4 more in the the next almost 25 years.  Coach K has proven himself time and again to be the personification of what it is to be elite. To be humble and be vicious on the court of play, they may not always win the title but they have 12 final four appearances and 22 Sweet Sixteen runs. I would call that epic in any arena. So congrats to Coach K on another title and wish him continued dominance of the college basketball landscape…
