Double K’s Take: The Oakland Athletics and the 2015 MLB Season…

With spring training wrapped up and the regular season right around the bend. I talk to people around the bay and it’s the same old thing, “The A’s look weaker than last year!” This year there is no way that they can every repeat; Billy Bean is in rebuild mode just like most years. I on the other hand have been a fan of this team long enough to understand that Mr. bean always has a plan. Normally that plan doesn’t come together till late in the season. I expect similar results this season, the reason I say similar is because this team is going to surprise a lot of people this season…

Unlike previous Athletics teams that start slow and normally sit anywhere from 2nd to 4th place in the division at the All Star break. This season I expect them to be in the top 2 in the division some the All Star break. Mainly because everyone that the A’s got rid of in this past off season was replaced with someone who has a hi potential level to be a younger and in some cases better version of what the Athletics had at those positions last year. Now this team will start out slow because they have Crisp, Reddick starting the season on the DL and the same with Parker and Griffin. But they still have a potent offense and a team that can compete…

As for my prediction for this entire season…this team will struggle early as they find their way thru injury. After the All Star break I expect them to be fully healthy and ready to roll toward a Wild Card spot as they torch the majors and get hot and ready for their turn at a post season run. This is a great team that nobody wants to see coming but once they are all healthy this will be a team to be reckoned with not only in the AL but in the whole MLB…
