Double K’s Classroom NFL Week 16 Review: Atlanta Falcons (4-10) vs. San Francisco 49ers (10-4)

GOODBYE Candlestick Park, you will be missed!!

Week #16: Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers

Falcons (M.Ryan 37/48 2TD 2INT, S.Jackson 16car 53yrds 1TD, R.White 12rec 141yrds 1TD): This was a game that the Falcons came in with nothing to lose, and they played like a team with nothing to lose. They came out and threw the ball efficiently and at times ran the ball effectively but just could not do enough to beat the 49ers. Matt Ryan looked good and played well but threw a critical pick that ended the game in the 4th quarter. Overall the Falcons made it a game but in the end were no match for the streaking 49ers…

49ers (C.Kapernick 13/21 197yrds 1TD, F.Gore 21car 97yrds 1TD, M.Crabtree 5rec 102yrds): The 49ers on the other hand had a lot to gain from a victory over the Falcons as they had yet to give up on hopes of a 3rd straight division title. They played like a team that was on fire and they were able to own the Falcons on the defensive end of the field until late in the game. Overall the ups and downs of this game was the perfect way to close out candlestick park and kepp the 49ers rolling forward into the playoffs…

Final Score: 49ers 34, Falcons 24
