Double K’s Classroom NFL Week 11 Review: San Francisco 49ers (6-3) vs. New Orleans Saints (7-2)

Week #11: San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints

49ers (C.Kapernick 17/31 127yrds 2TD 1INT, F.Gore 13car 48yrds, A.Boldin 6rec 56yrds 1TD): The 49ers came into this game fresh off of a loss to the Carolina Panthers and they were looking to make a statement against the then #2 seed Saints. They played well on both sides of the ball especially on defense as the boys on that side of the ball kept the 49ers in the game and almost won the game late for the team. If not for a penalty that gave the Saints life in their final drive to the game winner the 49ers would have been victorious. Overall the 49ers came in strong but just couldn't do enough against a game Saints team…

Saints (D.Brees 30/43 305yrds 1TD 1INT, P.Thomas 11car 49yrds, M.Colston 5rec 80yrds): The Saints were looking to hold off the Panthers who were hot their tail only a game behind them for the division crown. D.Brees came in ready to play against a tough 49ers defense and did just enough to get the victory. The most important thing for the Saints in this game was that they proved to themselves that they could compete with one of the top teams in the NFC. Overall good win for the Saints and bad loss for the Niners…

Final Score: Saints 23, 49ers 20
