Double K’s Classroom’s NFL Week 1 Review: San Francisco 49ers (0-0) vs. Green Bay Packers (0-0)

Week 1: Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers (9/8/13)

Green Bay Packers (A. Rodgers 21/37 333yds 3TD 1INT, E.Lacy 14att 41yds 1TD, 7rec 130yds 1TD): The Packers came in ready to play this year. They were determined to not let the Niners QB run all over them this time around. They didn’t allow that at all they completely shut down the 49ers run option offense. Unfortunately the Packers offense could really get going till late in the game and by that point the 49ers were able to take a late lead and hold on. But aside from a couple of games the Packers played a great game and fought until the end…

San Francisco 49ers (C.Kaepernick 27/39 412yds 3TD, F.Gore 21att 44yds 1TD, A.Boldin 13rec 208yds 1TD): The 49ers decided with all of the Packers talk about trying to “take out” their QB they were not going to let that happen.  They went away from the Run Option that they leveled the Packers with last year and let QB Colin Kaepernick just eat them alive in the passing game. It was also a coming out party for the 49ers newest shiny toy wide out Anquan Boldin who went off for over 200+ yards and a great welcome to the team for Boldin. But as a whole the 49ers played well on both sides of the ball and got the victory…

Final Score: 49ers 34, Packers 28
