Double K’s Perspective: “The Johnny Football” Situation…

Now I am not claiming to know a lot about the NCAA rule book or to be a supporter of its rules. But in this particular case I think that the blatancy of the act and the way Manziel has been so quiet about it that makes me so upset. But for those of you who don’t know what I am talking about Texas A&M star quarterback and “man about town” has been caught up in a situation where the NCAA may have enough evidence to suspend Johnny for this football season. Possibly making it his last in the NCAA. But as this whole situation unravels I am left to think to myself “Why would he do this?”…

Why would a kid that has all the money in the world need to sell his autograph for money. In the situation with Tarrell Pryor and the boys from Ohio State, these gentleman were in need of money and living off of very little and looking to come up to afford some of the finer things in life. Johnny already has access to the finer things in life so it wouldn’t make sense for him to need the money. So the only thing I can think of is that he was doing it just because he could, because he thought e could get away with it. That is what makes it despicable there are kids out there who play football and play hard who didn’t receive the scholarship that Johnny Manziel doesn’t seem to care about. I am not saying that he killed the cat so to speak but he deserves to have that scholarship yanked from him and his parents forced to payback what he has thrown away so arrogantly. If they aren’t going to bring the hammer down that hard then they don’t need to come down on him at all….
