(8) Minnesota Wild (26-19-3, 55pts) vs. (1) Chicago Blackhawks (36-7-5, 77pts) (4-1): This series was dominated by the team that dominated most of the NHL during the regular season. The Blackhawks have performed at a high level all season long and can they keep it going in Round 2 against the Detroit Red Wings who knows how to win but they did dominate them during the 48 game season…


(7) Detroit Red Wings (24-16-8, 56pts) vs. (2) Anaheim Ducks (30-12-6, 66pts) (4-3): In a series that everyone saw the Ducks winning in dominating fashion the Red Wings showed exactly why they have to be taken seriously every time they make it to the post season. They stayed in it and took it too a Game 7 and was able to sneak away with the upset 1st round victory over the #2 Seed Anaheim Ducks…

(6) San Jose Sharks (25-16-7, 57pts) vs. (3) Vancouver Canucks (26-15-7, 59pts) (4-0): Now the San José Sharks proved without a shadow of a doubt that if you have a pulse you need to keep your eye on the Sharks they are making their way thru the Western Conference and looking to advance into the Conference finals if they can. But this team may have what it takes to compete for the Stanley Cup…


(5) Los Angeles Kings (27-16-5, 57pts) vs. (4) St. Louis Blues (29-17-2, 60pts) (4-2): The Kings look to repeat their magical run from last season this year. And they began with the blues who came out strong but eventually struggled against a good Kings team that plays great defense and can score goals in bunches. But do they have what it takes to get back to the Finals or will their run end at the hands of instate rival the San Jose Sharks…
