The NBA Finals…
(2) San Antonio Spurs
(58-24, Southwst Div. Champs, 2nd in West. Conf.) vs. (1) Miami Heat
(66-16, 1st Southeast Div., 1st in East. Conf.)(3-4): These
finals had a lot of story lines going into it. First you had the Spurs who
coming in had never lost in the finals (Including a victory over LeBron James
and the Cavaliers). LeBron and Co. were looking for back to back title and to
prove that they truly were looking to be a dynasty. This Heat team has been to
3 consecutive NBA Finals and won the 2012 trip. So began a hard fought series
in which each team traded blows like in a heavyweight fight and each team
seemed to be able to take the best that the other had. Going into the 6th
game the Spurs had grabbed a 3-2 lead and were looking to put the baby Heat
away. But alas once again like I have said many of times this Heat team seems
to be able to turn it on and get those big shots when they are needed. Ray
Allen hit a huge one in game six and the rest as they say is history as the
Heat took game 7 in Miami and are Back to Back NBA Champions… Congrats…
