Eastern Conference Finals….

(3) Indiana Pacers (49-32, 1st Central Div., 3rd East. Conf.) vs. (1) Miami Heat (66-16, 1st Southeast Div., 1st in East. Conf.)(3-4): This was a matchup that was the most interesting of the playoffs. You had the Pacers who had all of the pieces in all the right places, to dethrone the Heat and crown a new Eastern Conference Champion. The heat on the other hand had different ideas of how this would play out. They knew and understood that they were not going to just walk over the Pacers but they didn’t think it was going to be this tough of the road. The Pacers put the defending champs on the ropes 2 or 3 times during this series but they just could put Lebron and company away. It came down to a Game Seven that showed exactly how experienced the Heat are and how young the Pacers are. But I can say this heavyweight fight lived up to its billing as they put on a series for the ages that saw the Heat advance to face the Spurs in the NBA Finals…
