Double K’s 2013 NBA Playoff Matchups: Western Conference…

Western Conference…

1.       Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Houston Rockets (3-2): This series really should be over by now. But this result shows you what Russell Westbrook means to the Thunder. The Rockets are a very promising team that has the potential to get back to the playoffs next season. But hopefully the Thunder will take care of business and get to the next round to face the winner of the LAC/MEM series…

1.       San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers (4-0): The Spurs dispatched the Lakers in classic fashion as the Lakers just couldn’t overcome all of the injuries to their starting and backup rotation. In an offense like D’Antoni’s they need as many bodies as possible to rotate in and keep the starters fresh. They couldn’t do that so they got sent home in the 1st round for the 2nd time in franchise history…

1.       Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors (2-4): This series was considered to be one of the better of the 1st round. Game one made it seem like it was going to be a very tight series. But then the Warriors took over and the Nuggets were just never able to catch up. The Warriors took all of their home games as well as one of the 1st 2 in Denver to end their 24 game home winning streak. Steph Curry emerged as the Superstar most Warriors fans knew he was…Now the rest of the league knows too…

1.       Los Angeles Clippers vs. Memphis Grizzlies (2-3): After going down 0-2 to open this series the Clippers have gone on a downward spiral as they have lost 3 straight and look to be on their way home with the way Memphis is playing the Clippers are going to find it hard to fight back and take the next 2 games to advance. But the games still have to be played so who knows?…
