he is a classic football player. The man won 6 Pro Bowls and 2 Super Bowls with
the Raiders and was a stout offensive lineman. With Upshaw in the lineup the QB’s
and Backs could rest easy that they were going to be protected. But Upshaw spent
a lot of his post career fighting for older players with brain issues. He was
also the longtime NFLPA president and brokered multiple collective bargaining agreements
with different NFL commissioners over his years and always acted in the best
interest of the players. But he will always be MR Raider to me. And he has
become the #2 Raiders/49ers draft pick of all time….
