National Title Game –
(4) Michigan Wolverines (31-8)(BIG10) vs. (1) Louisville Cardinal (35-5)(BGEST)
Final Score: 82-76 : In a game that I personally watched from tip off to
final buzzer. It was a game for the ages as Michigan rushed out to a fast lead
as they went up double digits earl. And I began to believe that the Wolverines
were going to get it done. For once in my life time the scrappy team from
Michigan was going to bring home a title. And then came Luke Hancock and his
precise shot from behind the arc and he made the Wolverines quake in their
boots and just as they thought they were going to put it together the Cardinal
showed that they were the more experienced team and were a little bit more
deserving of the National Title. And in the tiny underlying storyline you had
the fact on the same year Rick Petino is going to be inducted into the Naismith
HOF he wins a Nat. Title and makes history. Becoming the 1st coach
to win a National Championship with 2 schools, so congrats to the Louisville
Cardinal for the 3rd National Title in school history. Enjoy it
while you can the Wolverines will be calling themselves champions again…
