Double K’s 2013 NBA Playoff Matchups: Eastern Conference…

Eastern Conference

(8) Milwaukee Bucks vs. (1) Miami Heat: This is what I call a unfair match-up and the reason why I call it unfair is just because despite their best efforts. The Bucks would have to have all of the Big 3 and half the bench of Miami go out with injury in order for them to stand a chance. But since none of that is going to happen we can expect a 4-5 game series as the Heat have a tendency to play down to their opponents ability maybe they will do that for a game in this series but I doubt it…

The Knicks are the perennial favorite bringing in the leagues scoring leader Carmelo Anthony and the potential 6th man of the year in JR Smith. But the Celtics have that fire and heart that champions have so you crash both of those in the same series and it will be explosive…

(6) Atlanta Hawks vs. (3) Indiana Pacers: The Hawks and Pacers are both two very capable and teams that can reach a NBA Finals in the next year or 2. But for this year one of them is going to go home in the 1st round and the other is on their way to face the Knicks/Celtics winner in the next round. This year the winner will be the Pacers mainly because on paper and on the court they are the better team in this series…

(5) Chicago Bulls vs. (4) Brooklyn Nets: In another battle that should go at least 5 to 6 games this is a prototypical style vs. style matchup you have the Bulls who are a very defensive and physical basketball team who is missing their leader in Derrick Rose. The Nets on the other hand are a finesse and speed and can really get up and down the court. So overall the Nets will be a little too much for the Bulls this year and will send them home but as they always say there will be a next year…
