(8) Houston Rockets vs. (1) Oklahoma City Thunder: The Thunder are the obvious favorites in this matchup with Durant and Westbrook playing at their best going into this playoff series. The Rockets come in on a slide backing their way into the playoffs with losses to Phoenix and the Lakers to slip to the 8th seed in the playoffs and the Thunder can happily send them sliding back to Houston…











(7) Los Angeles Lakers vs. (2) San Antonio Spurs: The Lakers come into this series hot and hobbling. The loss of their star G Kobe Bryant will be just too much of a loss for the Lakers to be able to recover that loss and take down a very tired Spurs team. This Spurs team is very vulnerable and could be taken out by a younger team that can get the ball up and down the court and play some defense. But this time the Spurs get a worn out Lakers team that should be easy to dispatch…








(6) Golden State Warriors vs. (3) Denver Nuggets: This looks to be a fast paced series where both teams will score in the mid 100’s and it will be a very high scoring series. The Warriors came in hot having won 2 of their last 3 games losing only to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Nuggets came in with the NBA’s best home record of 38-3 and will give this Warriors team a run for their money…











(5) Memphis Grizzlies vs. (4) Los Angeles Clippers: This is a rematch of a 6 game series from last years playoffs. The Clippers won that series and I expect them to do the same again this year. But when you look at the contrast in styles that match up in this series, The Grizzlies and their grind it out defensive style and the Clippers and their Lob City ways that look to move it up and down the court at a fevered pace…
