#5 San Francisco
Giants SP Matt Cain (Career: W/L: 85-78, ERA: 3.27, SO’s: 1278): Cain has
been in baseball for most of his life. He played as a kid and in high school
and was drafted in 2002 by the Giants. Only the scouts knew that the Giants had
something special. But 11 years later (8 in MLB) Matt Cain is a 2 X World
Series Champion (2012 & 2012) a 3 time All Star (2009, 2011 & 2012) and
even threw the Giants 1st perfect game in franchise history
(6/13/12). And his 85 wins ranks amon the top 10 for pitchers during the same
span. He has been a consistent workhorse for the Giants thru all the hoopla of
Timmy this man just produced and kept quite. And he has slowly climbed his way
up to #5 on my list of the top pitchers in MLB Today…
