Double K’s Top 5 Free Agent Signings in 2013: #4 Dolphins land FA WR Mike Wallace away from the Steelers…
#4 Steelers WR Mike
Wallace signs with the Dolphins: Now coming into this offseason we knew
that the Dolphins were going to be major players. With at least 10+ million under the cap the
Dolphins could basically have the best free against available. But they didn’t want
all of them they just wanted one. And that was free agent WR Mike Wallace of
the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers evidently weren’t going to pay the wide
out what he wanted to make. They proved that last year when they gave Antonio Brown
a big contract and left Wallace out in the cold. So this year Wallace left and
went to where he was wanted in Miami. The Dolphins needed a deep threat for
their young QB Tannahill and also to offset the loss of team speed lost with
Reggie Bush going to the Lions. This was a winning move for the Dolphins lets
hope it pans out into a playoff birth and one of the top QB/WR combos in
football. Only time will tell…
