#2 49ers/Raiders WR
Jerry Rice (49ers: 85’-00’, Raiders: 01’-04’): Just to start out by getting
this out of the way I am fully aware that Jerry Rice is the greatest player at
his position to ever play the game and there may be people in this world who
would disagree with that statement. But it is how I feel Jerry was one guy that
moved from one team to their crosstown rivals and wasn't hated for it. I found
myself most of the time defending the man and telling people “He wanted to stay
close to home” and “The 49ers forced him out just like they did Joe and Ronnie
and Roger. But Jerry did something none of the other players did and that was get
to another Super Bowl. He reached the Super Bowl with the Oakland Raiders in
2004. And even though Jerry didn't achieve his goal of a 4th title but
he was the only 49er to become a Raider and get back to the big game. Jerry had
an amazing and after deservedly being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of
fame (Class of 2010). And today he is the #2 Bay Area Team jumper…
