Game #8 – Super Bowl
– 95’ Dallas Cowboys vs 94’ San Francisco 49ers…
1995 Dallas Cowboys (HC:
B.Switzer (2nd), W/L: 12-4, Won 95’ SB 27-17 over PIT): I
remember sitting at home and watching this Cowboys team and saying to myself
that this could be one of the greatest teams ever put together in Dallas. You
had 3 future HOFer’s that I can name off the top of my head (Smith, Aikman and
Irvin). But the one thing I hated was the fact that they had this bad boy
reputation and that upset me to see them perform so well on the field. The
running was solid and that defense was downright scary with Dion Sanders and
Co. dominating teams on their way to winning their 5th Super Bowl
and 2nd in 3 years as they beat up on the Pittsburgh Steelers making
them a scary tem to face. Now onto the 49ers…

49ers (HC: G.Sefiert (3rd), W/L: 13-3, Won 94’ SB 49-26 over SD):
This was the one 49ers team that was able to stop the Cowboys from
three-peating in these three years and after this season the 49ers look to
regain their recent glory and this time Led by Steve Young they won their 5th
and final Super Bowl. They actually defeated the Cowboys in the Conference Championship
game to get to the Super Bowl and it was yet another year where the Super Bowl
was actually played in the Conference Championship round as the Cowboys and
49ers clashed in a battle of titans and the 49ers got their titles out of it.
Now on to the matchup…
Synopsis: 49ers 35,
Cowboys 24: I believe that the overwhelming offense of the 49ers with Steve
Young and jerry Rice would be too much for the Cowboys defense and they would
take a early lead and would never look back. The funny thing about it is that
Dion Sanders was on both these defenses making them both very functional and a
big threat. The big difference in the two teams would be at the QB position Steve
Young is just a better QB that Aikmen was at this age and he even proved it to
the Cowboys but the fun thing is that this would be for the Super Bowl which
could never happen since they are in the same conference. But hey we can dream
cant we??...
