2013 NFL Combine
Player to Watch for: University of Illinois DT Glen Foster
(6’4”, 4.79 40, 10’09”
Broad Jump, Compared to:???): Now it disappoints me that this kid didn’t got
to the NFL combine I would have had a better idea of who this kid is. But I can
tell you this any kid has potential threw the roof. A DT with 4.79 speed is reminiscent
of Warren Sapp in his early days. But maybe he can convert to a end at some
point in his career. I don’t necessarily see him having a high sack season
unless he gets into the right system..
On the Raiders…: I
think with the Raiders depth at this position the Raiders may be served well to
pick this kid up. He can be a good addition to the rotation that the Raiders
are already running. Tommy Kelly and Desmond Bryant can be great teachers for
this kid and can make him into a force of nature for the Raiders in the future.
But I think they would have to take him in the 1st round which is a
bit of a reach…
On the 49ers…: The
49ers on the other hand have 2 2nd round pick I think they could end
up with this kid with either one. But here is the thing this kid can be added
to the rotation almost seamlessly and provide an instant impact. Jim Harbaugh and
Vic Faggio can find ways to use this kid in their defense the way that they
used Aldon Smith in his rookie season as a situational pass rusher. Imagine the
possibilities??...
Projected Round
