Double K’s 2013 NFL Combine Players to watch for…

2013 NFL Combine Player to Watch for: University of Texas WR Marquise Goodwin

(5’9”, 4.27 40, 132” Broad Jmp, Compared to: FA WR Mike Wallace): With his short stature but muscular build I expect this kid to succeed in the NFL and to be a fairly high draft pick. They compare him to Mike Wallace and I can see how some could make that comparison but for he is a little more comparable to Wes Welker I think he would make a great slot receiver who could blow the top off of most defenses in the NFL very similar to Wallace. But he will need to go to a established team with a solid QB to be successful. But I think that’s exactly what’s going to happen…

On the Raiders…: Now I think this is a kid that can do well on either team this year. With DHB and Ford as well as Moore the Raiders have a solid roster at the Wideout position. But that’s why he fits in so well he wont have to contribute right away and he can learn the offense over time and work his way into that slot or #2 receiver on this roster. But will he still be available for the Raiders 2nd round pick. Maybe but he would have to have a big fall after a combine like this…

On the 49ers…: The 49ers are another team in which this kid would not have to contribute immidiatly and would be able to learn the offense and become the backup squad behind Manningham and Crabtree alongside Jenkins as Williams fits so well into that slot spot but both him aJenkins could back him up. But the crucial thing is that the 49ers would just be adding more depth where they really need it. And he will most likely be available for the 49ers 1st and 2nd round picks…

Projected Round Taken: 1st – 2nd Round…
