2013 Los Angeles
Angels
Pitching (SP: A,
BLPN: B+, #1 SP: Jared Weaver, CLSR: Ryan Madson): This years pitching
staff is just a little bit better than last years. With the loss of Zack Grienke
they went out and added Tommy Hanson from the Atlanta Braves to solidify what
was already a great pitching staff…
Offense (SL: A, BNCH:
B+): Now the batting lineup on this team is just…just….just amazing I tell
you. They went out and homegrew names like Trout and Trumbo and adding some veteran
free agent hitting like Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton and fill in the rest
with a bunch of hard hitting guys who want to finish better than 3rd
and feel that the sweet swing of Josh Hamilton can help them with that…
Defense (C: B, INF:
B+, OF: A-): The defense on the other hand will be as good as it has always
been. They lost their prime outfielder in Torii Hunter (DET). But they replaced
him with a solid backup and look to be competitive in the AL West in 2013. Can
Mike Socsia take them back to the promiseland?...
Season Outlook: This
season just like last season is looking very promising for the Los Angeles
Angels. With the Addition of Hansen to the Pitching staff and Hamilton to the
lineup the Angels look to buy themselves a championship ala the Yankees of the
early 2000’s, Only problem is last year they were ousted by a good Rangers team
and a even better Athletics team. Now with the Rangers getting a litte bit
weaker and the Angels getting that much better I cant see them finishing worse
than 2nd in the division or possibly winning the division. Look for
the Angels to finish high in most statistical catagories but may not win it all
but they will be in the hunt…
