#3 Raiders GM/Owner
Al Davis (1972-2011 (39yrs), SBT: 3, CHMP: 5, REC: 337-315-2): Now normally
I would not have much nice stuff to say about Al Davis. But for 2 reasons I have
nothing but positive things to say. #1 My mother always taught me to not speak
ill of the dead. #2 After doing some research and reading about Al Davis I realized
that AL not only did a lot ot help make the NFL what it is today but Al Davis
was a innovator and businessman who say the big picture. Now I still stand by
the fact that Mr. Davis stayed in control of the Raiders for a little bit to
long and should have turned over the reigns to his son about 5 years earlier
and I don’t think the Raiders are having this downtime that they are
experiencing right now. But Al Davis has been a man that took care of those who
played for him and made everyone who wore the Silver and Black feel like
family. For these reasons and so many more Al Davis is my #3 Bay Area Icon…
