Double K’s 2012-13 Seattle Seahawks Season Recap…

2012-13 Seattle Seahawks (11-5, Finished 2nd in the NFC West)

Offense (27th in the NFL, Passing: 3031yrds 27TD’s 10INT’s, 3rd in NFL Rushing: 2579yrds 16TD’s 7 FUM): There was a moment this season when the world realized that Seattle had done something special. That moment was when Head Coach Pete Carroll announced that rookie Russell Wilson would be the starting QB for the Seahawks this season. Outperforming Matt Flynn who the Seahawks had just signed to a big time “starter’s” contract. This launched a season in which the Seahawks did not finish in the top 15 in the Regular Season but they had a strong running game in RB Marshawn Lynch and finished 3rd in the NFL in the run game if they bring back all of their starters then they will be battling the 49ers for the NFC west title and possibly a Super Bowl title…

Defense (6th in the NFL, Passing: 3250yrds 15TD’s 18INT’s, 10th in the NFL. Rushing: 1649yrds 8TD’s 8 FUM): This particular part of the team performed a little bit over the expectations of the experts. They drafted well and filled much needed holes (LB, DE). This resulted in the Seahawks having a Top 10 defense all season long as they even took down Colin Kapernick and the vaunted 49ers in Seattle this season. Showing that this rivalry is going to be something to watch for years to come. At every critical position on the defense the Seahawks are young and getting better. So I will give credit where credit is due and say that Seattle had an amazing year this year and will have many more to come…
