Wild Card Weekend
Sun. 1:00pm EST, #5
Indianapolis Colts (11-5)(WC) vs. #4 Baltimore Ravens (10-6)(AFCS): This
game should be a classic struggle of veterans versus young up and comers. You
have the whole Chuck Pagono storyline and the “chuckstrong” team vibe. This has
carried this youthful team into the postseason with hopes of a super bowl. But
on the other sideline you have the beast Ray Lewis retiring from the game of
football after 17 years declaring to his teammates that this will be his “last
ride”. So will Joe Flacco, Ray Rice and Ed Reed make it worth the ride for
Lewis or will Indy have just enough Luck to get by…
Final Score: Ravens
20, Colts 14
Sun. 4:30pm EST, #5
Seattle Seahawks (11-5)(WC) vs. #4 Washington Redskins (10-6)(NFCE): In
this battle of two emerging stars.
In Washington we have Robert Griffin III and his athletic style of football.
The kid is deadly accurate deep and can confuse most defenses with that triple
option that Shanahan runs. Russell Wilson has just been quietly putting himself
in the running for rookie of the year. He has had an outstanding rookie season
in Seattle and looks to keep running up the score on the road as they have to
travel across the country to face the Redskins…
Final Score: Redskins
28, Seahawks 21
