NFL Divisional Round Review: Saturday’s Games…

Divisional Round

1:30 PM PST Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver, CO (Ravens 38, Broncos 35 2/OT, Ravens extend Lewis’s season for one more game… the AFC Championship game): This game was my only loss of the weekend. I thought that the roll that the Broncos were on would be able to stop the momentum of the Ray Lewis retirement train. But I was wrong and the Broncos went out onto their own home field and got owned by the Ravens now that is weird to say considering it took 2 OT’s to complete the day. Joe Flacco looked like a young Joe Montana as he orchestrated multiple drives late in the fourth quarter to bring the Ravens back to tie the game and then win in overtime. But at the end of the day the Ravens pulled it off and look to get revenge for last years loss in the AFC title game…

5:00 PM PST Candlestick Park, San Francisco, CA (49ers 45, Packers 31, 49ers advance to their 2nd straight NFC Championship game, after a record breaking night by QB Kapernick): This game started out badly for the 49ers and their young QB. But after the 1st pick 6 by the Green Bay defense Kapernick proceeded to make the Green Bay defense look like high schooler’s facing a NFL offense as he just made them look silly. He ran for an NFL record 181 yards on the ground and just had the defense confused all night long and now he is one step closer to taking the 49ers back to the promise land but for now he has just got them to the NFC championship for the 2nd year in a row…
