Double K’s Top 5 Players snubbed from the HOF in 2012 - #1 Giants OF Barry Bonds…

#1 San Francisco Giants OF Barry Bonds (Votes: 206 (36.2%))(AVG: .298, HR’s: 762, Hts: 2935, RBI’s: 1996, SB’s: 514)(14X All-Star, 8X Gold Gloves, 12X Silver Slugger, 7X NL MVP): This was a hard one for me to do mainly because I just like everyone else does not like Barry Bonds. His name has become a new four-letter word in the baseball world. But the fact of the matter is that we all know that Barry did steroids, He claims it was involuntary. I don’t think that anyone fools Barry Bonds, he knew what he was doing. Now that we have that out of the way I am going to begin to tell you a couple of reasons why Barry Bonds is still a hall of famer regardless of the steroids. 1) If you check the stats Mr. Bonds was a 30+ HR and a .300 batting average for 6 full seasons before getting to San Fran and those to me are HOF numbers. 2) In my opinion Bonds would have come close to if not broken the HR record regardless of the steroids. I honestly think his 70 HR season would have still been a 50 HR season even without the roids. Now I can understand that you would not want him in the hall on what are considered bogus numbers. But to me the damage that Barry did before he got on the roids alone should make him a 1st ballot Hall of Fame candidate. But unfortunately for him I don’t have a vote, so for this year he will be the #1 Snub from the Hall of Fame in 2012…
