Double K’s Super Bowl Preview (Team #2): NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers (13-4-1)…

Head Coach: Jim Harbaugh (W/L: 24-7-1, Pstsn: 3-1): Ever since little brother Jim made his way to the 49ers sidelines he has been a whirl wind of intensity and positivity. He resurrected the career of #1 pick Alex Smith and took him to a Conference Championship game. And then again in 2012 Harbaugh made the tough call of inserting 2nd year player Colin Kapernick as the starting QB over the revived Smith. But overall it has made the 49ers a better team on offense and gotten them over the hump and into the Super Bowl playing against a tough Ravens defense…

Player to Watch Offense: San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kapernick (Yrds: 1814, TD’s: 10, INT’s: 3, QBR:  98.3): This kid has been amazing throwing for over 400+ yards and rushing for another 200+ in these very playoffs. I have to admit that when the change was made this season to Kapernick I was doubtful that the kid could take us all the way to the big game. But I am very proud to say that he has finally won me over and I think that he has become a vital part of the 49ers chances at winning the big one. Harbaugh knew when he drafted the kid that he was something special and this kid has not let him down so far…

Player to Watch Defense: San Francisco 49er LB’s Patrick Willis/ Navarro Bowman (Rushing Yrds: 1507, Passing Yrds: 3203): This is possibly the best tandem of linebackers in the NFL. I don’t really know too many of their specific stats but I do know this when I watch these guys play its exciting. They play like a well oiled machine and seem to know where each other are going to be. They have terrorized many the NFL quarterback this season and if they can do it one more time the 49ers will be champions…

Biggest Edge in the Game (49ers Defense)(RYPG: 94.2, TD’s: 7, PYPG: 200.0, TD’s: 19): The reason why this and not QB Kapernick is the key to the game for the 49ers. Is because the only way the 49ers win is to stop a very hot Ravens defense. The Ravens have managed to put up a bunch of points this postseason. And if the Niners succumb to the Ravens long ball then its going to be a long Super Bowl if they can somehow put a cap on the top of the field the way they did against the Falcons in the 2nd half then the 49ers once again and for the 1st time since 1995 can call themselves Champions…
