Double K’s 2012-13 NFL Awards: Comeback Player of the Year…

This was another tough award to hand out. Because just like with Offensive POY for the NFC (Peterson and Johnson Jr.). But unlike that award I could only give this award to one guy. Now lets talk about the guy that came in second because in my mind he could have just as easily won this award. That man is Peyton Manning QB for the Denver Broncos he was coming off of 4 neck surgeries the last of which kept him on the sidelines for an entire year and effectively cost him his job in Indy. Now he has moved on and made the Broncos the best team in the AFC, possibly in the NFL. But I am just so impressed with what Peterson has done on an offense that due to depth problems and injury. Just had no other options to score the football other than him. But to do what he has done with a 2000+ yard season is just WOW…
2012-13 NFL Comeback Player of the Year (Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson): I will start by saying this… I have seen a couple of athletes go down with the knee explosion that Adrian Peterson had last Christmas eve. And a few made comebacks after a year and a half, a few never came back at all, but only one man came back and torched NFL defenses for over 2000 yards in a little under a year of time. Adrian Peterson just made defenses look silly all season long and to me to do what he did after suffering such a devastating injury makes him my NFL Player of the Year…
