I thought just like most of the 49ers fan base that this wasn’t
going to be easy but they could go into Seattle and get the win and take a hold
of the division and possibly the #2 seed in the playoffs and a bye in the 1st
round. Instead they went into Seattle and looked exactly how the Bears looked
in their game against the 49ers. Only difference is that we didn’t do that with
our backup QB we did it with our starter of the future. Now on defense there
were no excuses but there were some reasons. !) The loss of Justin Smith turned out to be
bigger than I thought… 2) A lot of huge mental mistakes by the defense and
offense led to a lot of Seahawks points….
Game #15 – San
Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks
Offense: B- (C.Kapernick 19/36 244yrds 1TD, 1INT, C.Kapernick
7/31yrds, D.Walker 4/54yrds 1TD): The offense looked good late but overall
not nearly as effective as they have been in previous weeks. Colin Kapernick
looked almost human against a very vicious Seahawks defense that took advantage
of every opportunity to get after Kapernick and to lay into the 49ers Wideout’s. I will say this you know the offense is having
a bad night when you QB is your lead rusher with only 31 yards. And even though
they were able to make a little late run to not be completely embarrassed the
fact of the matter is the offense was embarrassed on Sunday night…
Defense: B (Passing
Yrds All. 171yrds, Rushing Yrds All. 176yrds, 1TO): All I can say about the
defense is that thanks to bad plays and turnovers by the offense the Seahawks consistently
started in great field position most of the game. Short fields all day and
being on the field way to much worked against the 49ers defense a lot in this
game. Not to mention that the Seahawks just beat up the left side of our
defensive line. No Justin Smith means that the Seahawks didn’t have the beast
from both sides they could only give them Aldon from one side and that just wasn’t
enough. The 49ers would be well served to watch this game tape repeatedly and don’t
let it happen again…
Final Score: Seahawks
42, 49ers 13
Overall: B
