Now going into this game I knew that the 49ers were going to
come out aggressive early. My reasoning for this was because the 49ers always
come back hungry after a loss. The Dolphins were the perfect cure for what
ailed the Niners, they weren’t exactly a top 5 defense and their offense was
lead by a young but capable Ryan Tannahill. NAd throughout this whole game the
49ers defense gave a huge “Welcome to the NFL kid” to the Dolphins rookie
quarterback. This was a game that was dominated by the Friscco defense who didn’t
allow a td until late in the game and did not allow Reggie bush to run all over
them. Good sign going into Foxboro next week…
Game #13 – Miami
Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers
Offense: B+ (C.Kapernick
18/23 185yrds, F.Gore 12/63yrds 1TD, M.Crabtree 9/93yrds): Colin Kapernick
once again had a very efficient game. But once again im still not seeing that
explosiveness that I saw against the Bears on that Monday night weeks ago. But
he is the hot hand and he is the starting QB for now… Frank Gore had a pedestrian
game with only 63 yards, but Capernick picked up the slack with a 50+ yard
scamper for a touchdown late in the game. To seal the victory after the Dolphins
had pulled to within 7 points early in the 4th quarter. Overall a
decent performance overall because they got the win. But not too much to jump
and shout about…
Defense: B- (Rushing
Yrds All. 94yrds, Passing Yrds All. 150yrds, 1TO): The defense performed
exceptionally well. The held the Dolphins to under 100 yards rushing and under
200 yards passing. The NFL’s best pass rusher LB Aldon Smith got another 2
sacks bringing his total to 19.5 for the season. This was just another showing
of how and why the 49ers have a Super Bowl worthy defense and that they are
hard to beat when they play at their best. They only forced 1 TO but that was
because the Dolphins were pretty cautious with the ball all game and were only
caught slipping once. Overall an excellent performance again by the 49ers
defense…
Final Score: 49ers
27, Dolphins 13
Overall: B
