Week #14 Review: Denver Broncos (10-3) vs. Oakland Raiders (3-10)…

This game was one that I don’t think anyone had the Raiders slotted for a win. I know I didn’t… The Raiders have been playing pathetic as of recently a defense that at the beginning of this season looked like it could be one of the best in the NFL. Only to land flat on their faces and end up as one of the worst defenses in the league. The main bright spot is the fact that there has been bright spots for the offense all season at time Palmer has looked pretty sharp like he did in this game but when he does the defense can’t seem to hold up there end of the bargain. This game was no different…

Game #13 – Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders

Offense: B- (C.Palmer 19/30 273yrds 2TD, 1INT, D.McFadden 11/52yrds, D.Hayward-Bey 5/82yrds 1TD): The offense didn’t look half bad out there against a Broncos defense that is pretty talented. Carson seemed to make all the right throws tonight just some of them were a little off the mark. McFadden looked like he needs a couple of more games to get back to his old form. But there is promise for him in this zone blocking scheme yet. But that is going to happen well after this season is over and the Raiders are talking about who to take with their top 5 pick in the draft. But for this game they gave it a lot of heart but just came up short…

Defense: C- (Passing Yrds All. 310yrds, Rushing Yrds All. 140yrds, 1TO): The defense on the other hand was facing a rejuvenated Payton Manning. Who threw all over the Raiders defense in both meetings this season. This Broncos offense has been magical over the past few weeks and they continued their roll winning their 8th straight game this season. And officially putting the nail in the Raiders coffin for this season at least. The thing that surprised me was the dominance by the Broncos running game who racked up almost 150 yards on the ground. These two teams are done for this year but I cant wait to  see this rivalry blossom over the next couple of years…

Final Score: Broncos 26, Raiders 13

Overall: D
