Double K’s 2012-13 NFL Awards (AFC): Defensive Player of the Year…

                                                                                                                  Once again we are back folks. And this week we are going to be handing out the awards for the AFC. So in that ilk players like Andrew Luck (IND) and Chandler Jones (NE) have already taken home rookie of the year awards and now we are going to focus on the veterans. We are going to start on the side of the ball that they say wins championships. That would be the defense for those that don’t get the reference. And this year no one has been more effective on the defensive side of the ball than Houston Texans DE J.J. Watt…


2012-13 AFC Defensive Player of the Year (Houston Texans DL J.J. Watt): Since his days back at the University of Wisconsin this man has been a beast. He was a terror for most of the Big 10 QB’s during his years with the Badgers. Since coming to the pros in 2011 he has been a terror for NFL QB’s. Just ask Tom Brady and Payton Manning both felt the wrath of the Swat machine this season. He has tons of deflections this season to combine with his 20.5 sacks (2.5 shy of breaking Strahan’s season sacks record). And as ESPN’s Stephen A Smith would say… “J.J.Watt is a baaaaaaad man” and that is why he is Double K’s Defensive Player of the Year for the AFC…
