Double K’s 2012-13 NFL Awards (AFC): Rookie of the Year (Offensive/Defensive)…

Merry Christmas from 4ACES Network and the Boys at West Coast Bias!!!

Last Week I went and looke around the NFC to see who I wanted to give my ROY award to. I think I made 2 solid choices being that both Wagner and RG3 have their team in or on the verge of a playoff birth this year! So now we look to the AFC and I look once again to 2 rookies who have taken their respective teams to the promise land by excelling at the position that they play. First is a QB who went to literally the worst team in the NFL last year and is still having success. Andrew Luck is the obvious choice for offensive rookie of the year. Now I had to look for Chandler Jones but once I saw what this kid was doing for an improved Patriots defense he became my choice…
2012-13 AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year (Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck): Now if I have to tell you why he wins this award. I will have to say to you please go back to living under the rock you came out from under and let the rest of us talk sports.  Andrew Luck came into the game under a lot of hype and lived up to it at Stanford with 2 BCS bowls in 4 years there. Then he came into the pro game with the same hype and talk. And once again the kid has lived up to the hype setting new record for rookie passing yards(Cam Newton just set it last year). But the best thing he did was become a leader of men and he has led the Colts to a playoff appearance. For that reason he is my AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year…
2012-13 AFC Defensive Rookie of the Year (New England Patriots LB Chandler Jones): Now I had to go and do a little research to find out a little bit about Mr. Jones he is a 22 year old rookie out of Syracuse. He has made an instant impact. He has recorded 6 sacks so far this season and has been an anchor for the much improved Patriots defense. If they continue to play well they may reach the Super Bowl and it will be in part to the play of this young man. With his 38 tackles he is showing that he will be in on pretty much every play that he is on the field. Overall this is a player that will be a stalwart position player in the Patriots defense for years to come. That is why he is my AFC Defensive Rookie of the Year…
