Position: Shooting
Guard
Starter: Wesley
Matthews (16.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.6apg)
Backup(s): Sasha
Pavlovic (2.2ppg, 1.5rpg, 0.8apg), Elliot Williams (3.7ppg, 0.8rpg, 0.3apg)
Synopsis: The
Blazers have a pretty deep team. Matthews is a solid two guard he has
experience and can help guide point guard Damien Lillard lean the NBA game. He isn’t
the best defender at his position but he has a lot of hustle and heart. He will
stay with a play until its dead and that is something that you want out of an
everyday guard. The backups are a solid mix of youth and experience. Pavlovic
is a 9 year vet that can give them valuable minuets when Matthews needs a rest.
Williams is only in his second year but this kid is athletic and a future
starter in this league. So with all this firepower are the Blazers heading for
a playoff spot? I personally don’t think so not this year at least but in years
to come they will be a team to keep your eye on they will be winning a title if
they can keep this group together…
