Well here we are the 49ers win yet another game convincingly
with the young Kapernick at the helm. I still don’t think he deserved to take
the job from Alex even with his great performance. But like I have said many of
times I will back Harbaugh’s decision as he knows what is best for this team.
So Colin will once again start the game under center for the 49ers. This si a
good thing the kid is an amazing athlete player and quarterback. My only issue
with Alex not starting is that he did nothing wrong. He didn’t play bad…all he
did was get hurt. But alas I have made that point already. So I will talk about
Sundays game, if the last 2 and a half quarters of football Kapernick played
against them was any indication then the Rams defense is going to have its
hands full with this kid. Who will take off if necessary and keep moving the
pocket. The 49ers defense needs to just keep doing what they have been doing
because it seems to be working…
Game #12 – San
Francisco 49ers at St.Louis Rams
Offense: SF B+/STL
B-: The 2 offenses couldn’t be any more opposite. You can say they both
have great running backs. You can say that they both have great receiving
corps? Well I don’t think so Moss, Manningham and Crabtree make up one of the
top 10 receiving corps in the NFL. Now if you had Alex starting I would call it
a draw at the QB position. But thanks to coach Harbaugh’s choice the 49ers have
a slight advantage being that Kapernick is mobile and can run at any moment. Whereas
Bradford is a more traditional pocket QB in the mold of Brady and Manning just not as
smart. But he will still be a key factor to stop for the defense….
Defense: SF A-/STL B:
The 49ers defense has been on a real roll as of recently. With 2 pick six’s
against the Saints and the smothering of the Bears on the Monday night before.
So I expect the defense to perform well against the Rams. I personally think
that Aldon Smith cannot be stopped leading the NFL with 16.5 sacks in only his
second year on the field, and 1st in the starting rotation. The
48ers safeties will dominate the the Rams receivers. And this will result in
multiple turnovers that hopefully Kapernick can turn into points. The Rams
defense I think will struggle with the many options the 49ers have on offense.
The Rams defense is good but when you add a mobile QB to the equation then you
add a solid running game and tight ends that give you nightmares. And what you
have is a winning combination….
Final Score: 49ers
28, Rams 17
