Week 12 Preview: Oakland Raiders (3-7) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (5-5)…

Now this one seems like a game that should be full of storylines and intrigue. But there is no intrigue there aren’t any situations at hand. Its pretty plain and simple the Raiders are on a downswing and the Bengals are trying to make their way past the Steelers and into the playoffs. But only time will tell, for this week they have to face each other in a homecoming for Raiders QB Carson Palmer. Who will be playing his 1st game as a visitor to Cincinnati, and his 1st game back since the trade that made him a Raider. Hopefully Palmer can channel his old self to outduel the young QB who essentially took his job and allowed the Bengals to send him packing. That QB is Andy Dalton the young ginger has been a spark plug for the re-surging Bengals franchise. Him and AJ Green are the main reason that the Bengals are in the playoff hunt every year….

Game #11 – Oakland Raiders at Cincinnati Bengals

Offense: OAK: B/CIN: B+: This week the Raiders are going to be facing a good defense. Not to mention a hot defense, coming off that win over the Giants last week. I think that the key for the Raiders to get the win here is to get to the defense early. Run the ball often when the ball is in Reeces hand good things will happen. But for Palmer he is going to have cut down on his mistakes, if Carson can keep his int’s under 2 then the Raiders will stand a chance to stay in the game against a formidable Bengals defense. So do I think that they can achieve this goal no I don’t this team is playing confused on both sides of the ball and that will continue this week as they put up yards but not points at least not enough to win the game…

Defense: OAK: C/ CIN: B+: The Raiders defense has been truly abysmal this season. They have pretty much been run over and thrown over all game the last two weeks. They looked horrid last week against the Saints and they don’t look like things are going to be getting any better with the Bengals. They have a tough task taking on a revitalized Bengals running game. Not to mention the dynamic QB/WR combo of Dalton and Green who have been terrorizing defenses all season long. I always try to keep positive but at this point the Raiders are pretty much done for the season and it shows in their play over their last couple of weeks. Will things get better? Probably not but we can always hope…

Final Score: Bengals 28, Raiders 20
