Week 11 Preview: Chicago Bears (7-2) vs. San Francisco 49ers (6-2-1)…

This should be a battle of the titans, two very good defenses with slightly above average offenses. The 49ers look like they will have their starting QB Alex Smith for their Monday night game against the Bears. But Jay Cutler is another subject, the hit he took last Sunday was a lot more violent. So he may not be ready for this game which is an advantage for the 49ers defense. Because even though Cutler isn’t the next coming of Joe Montana he is a Pro Bowl level quarterback. So the loss of him will be a major impact on the Bears offense. Forte is going to struggle against the 49ers defense and Jason Campbell never put up great numbers against the 49ers when he was with the Raiders. But the next major question is can Alex Smith bounce back from the concussion and play well in this critical game?...

Game #10 – Chicago Bears at San Francisco 49ers

Offense: CHI B-/SF B: The offense the 49ers have is a good one. With Alex, Randy, Frank, Mario and Mike the 49ers have prospered this year on offense they aren’t the #1 in the league but they are good enough to beat most of the teams in the NFL with the defense that they have for support. In this game they will be facing a team with a defense that is equal to if not better in some aspects that their own. The Bears defense score points…mostly on turnovers. That will be the key to beating them don’t make a lot of mistakes and Alex and the boys can do that and can do it well. Frank Gore has to be effective for that to happen a lot of ground and pound and the 49ers can control the clock and the game…

Defense: CHI A-/SF B+: The defense on the other hand doesn’t have as hard of a task. Jason Campbell is nowhere near the level of QB that Jay Cutler is. So the main focus on the Bears offense is Matt Forte, Michael Bush and the running game. That is something that the 49ers are capable of handling, they have always been a top 3 defense against the run.  With that in check they should be able to contain Brandon Marshall , Jason Campbell and the Bears passing attack. This will be a defensive battle with not a lot of points scored so it wont be a pretty game to watch but it should hopefully result in a 49ers win…

Final Score: 49ers 17, Bears 10
