Week 10 Review: Oakland Raiders (3-6) vs. Baltimore Ravens (7-2)…

Today we are going to review what was an embarrassing game for Raiders fans. Their team came out and laid an egg against a team that it should have at least been able to keep pace with. And even I thought that it would be close. The Raiders have the personnel to compete with the best Front 7’s in football. That factor alone and the recent ok play of the Raiders corners should have made it difficult for the Ravens offense to really get going. But that wasn’t the case as the Raiders were never really in the game at all. The Ravens came out early and went up 10-0 before the Raiders knew what happened. Then they spent the rest of the game trying to play catch up….

Game #9 – Oakland Raiders at Baltimore Ravens

Offense: B-(C.Palmer 29/45 368yrds 2TD, 1INT, M.Reece 13/48yrds, D.Moore 4/90yrds 1TD): The offense in this game really wasn’t that bad. Palmer only threw 1 interception instead of his normal 2 or 3.  Palmer put up over 350 yards and 2 TD’s that’s a great game for most QB’s and the bad thing is it still resulted in a loss for the Raiders. The running game was missing McFadden and couldn’t get going at all.  Reece was supposed to have his breakout game against a depleted Ravens linebacker core. Under 50 yards isn’t exactly a breakout game if you ask me this is one area that needs to be more consistent if the Raiders are going to really contend this year…

Defense: D+(Passing Yrds All. 341yrds, Rushing Yrds All. 78yrds, 1TO): I know I use this phrase a lot but the Raiders defense looked extremely lost out there. They made Joe Flacco look as if he were the second coming of Steve Young. He threw all over the Raiders defense as Joe and Torry Smith seemed to have psychic connection. Ray Rice didn’t necessarily have a great game but the Raiders did hold them to under 100 yards so that is a plus. But about the only plus that came out of an embarrassing  game where the Raiders defense and offense allowed 55 points. Nothing good can be said about that! Its time to go back to the drawing board because this play has been unacceptable by any teams standards….

Final Score: Ravens 55, Raiders 20

Overall: C
