The Raiders were supposed to be at .500 going into this
game. The game against Tampa Bay was one that the Raiders could have won if
they played up to their potential. But they didn’t the Buccaneers ran all over
the Raiders defense and allowed the Raiders offense to keep them in the game
behind Carson Palmers almost 400 yard passing. But the end result was a Raiders
loss putting them one game closer to being eliminated from the playoffs. Now
this week they get the Ravens in Baltimore and after getting owned by rookie RB
Doug Martin the Raiders are going to be looking to not get embarrassed by
veteran RB Ray Rice in Baltimore…
Game #9 – Oakland
Raiders at Baltimore Ravens
Offense: OAK B/BAL
B+: The Raiders offense has performed well over the last couple of weeks as
far as the passing game goes. The struggle has been with the running game as I don’t
think that McFadden has rand for over 100+ yards in the last 2 games. The
offensive line is going to have to get it together this week because they have
a very talented front line to deal with. And even though the they are missing
their captain (Ray Lewis) and their best corner to injury but they can still be
scary for any team in the NFL. McFadden is going to need to go for at least
60-70 yards on the ground and another 40-50 in the air for the Raiders to
really have a chance to take down an injured Ravens defense…
Defense: OAK C/BAL
C+: The defense on the other hand needs a complete rework. I don’t necessarily
know how they can achieve this goal I am not completely sure. I just know that
if the Raiders play defense the way they played it last Sunday…Ray Rice is
about to make a lot of fantasy owners very happy. But I would like to think
that the Raiders are going to come out angry and play extremely hard and not
allow the Ravens to get hot on offense at all. They will pressure Joe Flacco
all game and make life heck for Ray Rice. They wont have enough to win the game
but they will put up one hell of a fight…
Final Score: Ravens
28, Raiders 24
